Lining and Insulation

  • Standard shipping container can be lined and insulated with the following systems.
  • Steel fixing frames welded to the container structure to allow equipment to be fastened to the wall panels.
  • Timber fixing frames.
  • Insulations can be applied in varying sizes to allow different U values. These can be applied in sheet form or spray foamed.
  • Lining types include melamine faced chip board, ply board, fire rated ply board; wipe clean panels, aluminium panels or any other decorative sheet materials.

Overlay flooring

  • The original container floor can be over laid using either mild steel, aluminium durbar, vinyl or carpet tiles.
  • With steel overlays the floors are fully welded around the perimeter to the container structure and at the seams and then painted with marine grade paint.
  • The floors are CSC compliant.
  • False floors can also be fitted.
  • Bunded or sump tanks can also be fitted to the container floors.

  • Heaters
  • Air conditioning
  • Alarm systems
  • Plug sockets/power outlets
  • Mechanical ventilation
  • Lighting can be supplied to the clients own specification.
  • Zone 1 and 2 can be fitted.
  • All electrics are live tested and fully certificated.
  • All electrics should be fitted on to steel or timber housing to stop water ingress into the container.

  • Lockboxes are also known as locking shrouds and cowls.
  • Locking shroud can be fitted in two different sizes and are used to house a padlock.
  • Locking shrouds are used to protect the padlock from people trying to remove or cut them off.
  • The large locking shrouds are used only for UK domestic use and cannot be shipped due to them being out of ISO.
  • The smaller locking shrouds can be fitted to containers that are being shipped as they are still within ISO but only certain types of locks can be used which can be supplied on request.

Shipping Containers are normally fitted with industry standard MV303 vent.
It is very easy to have extra standard vents fitted to a container and can also be carried out on site, but having them fitted before would be a much easier solution. Extra vents can be fitted with effecting CSC certification and are also within ISO.
Other vents can be fitted to a container with give extra air flow and are normally aluminium fixed blade louvered vents and can be fitted internally with weld wire mesh or insect mesh. These types of vents can be produced in sizes from 150mm x 150mm to 2000mm x 2000mm.
They are also within ISO and do not effect CSC for shipping.
Mechanical ventilation can also be fitted as part of an electrical installation.
